Production Coordinator

Description

The coordinator ensures roofing projects move smoothly from pre‑production to completion, acting as the central communication hub among sales, operations, purchasing, field teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented and thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment where priorities shift quickly.

Core duties include developing and maintaining the master production schedule, assigning subcontractor crews, adjusting timelines for weather or material delays, and coordinating permits, equipment and deliveries. The role also supports the Director of Purchasing by processing purchase orders, monitoring inventory, expediting critical materials, and managing staging areas and tool rentals. Additional responsibilities cover entering transactions in AccuLynx and Epicor, allocating materials, assisting accounts receivable, and handling basic vendor issues.

The coordinator builds and maintains professional relationships with subcontractors, serves as their primary point of contact, and conducts performance and safety reviews. Effective communication with all stakeholders and real‑time problem solving are essential to meet quality standards, safety regulations and customer satisfaction.

• Develop and maintain master production schedule for all roofing projects.
• Assign subcontractor crews based on availability, skillset, and project needs.
• Adjust schedules proactively for weather, material delays, or staffing changes.
• Coordinate permits, equipment, and material deliveries to meet start dates.
• Maintain accurate project records in AccuLynx and related systems.
• Process and verify purchase orders, supporting the Director of Purchasing.
• Purchase and allocate roofing materials, tools, and inventory items.
• Monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and expedite critical orders.
• Manage staging areas, yards, Conex containers, and equipment rentals.
• Enter purchasing, inventory, and contract transactions in AccuLynx and Epicor.
• Allocate materials to job accounts and release daily job packs.
• Assist Accounts Receivable with ticket uploads and reconciliations.
• Resolve basic vendor issues such as returns, exchanges, and credits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, handling onboarding and performance reviews.
• Communicate schedule changes and project updates clearly to all stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot real‑time issues to minimize delays and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

The Production Coordinator role is an entry‑level, full‑time position based in Centerville, Utah. The role does not require a formal education and works a daytime shift within the entry‑level job category.

Required skills include strong organization, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with ERP/CRM systems (preferably AccuLynx and Epicor), solid math skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Physical requirements involve frequent standing, walking, lifting moderate to heavy materials, and good visual acuity.
