The Regulatory Specialist role uses technical expertise to support compliant Battery, Fuel Cell, Charging, and Powertrain systems, engages in standards development, and identifies industry best practices to enable global market access. The position proactively identifies regulatory requirements, provides training to development teams, and builds lean processes for new technologies.
The role works with regional compliance experts and product development teams to master global requirements, supports new technology and prototype compliance, and communicates requirements to engineering while ensuring risk assessments are completed and actions met on schedule. It also resolves technical issues per industry standards and identifies control system and functional safety needs.
Candidates need an engineering qualification relevant to electrical/electrified products or progressive regulatory compliance experience. Required knowledge includes risk management, interpretation of safety standards (e.g., IEC60204‑1, ISO12100, ISO13849, ISO61508), and creation of best‑practice documentation. Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills across all levels are essential.
The position is based in Mossville, IL, requires a five‑day onsite schedule, and offers domestic relocation.
