Support the Quality Department through assisting in troubleshooting problems during electrical testing and developing test procedures. Demonstrates clear understanding of the full breadth of product line offering, including complex wiring and design applications in order to provide exceptional solution selling support to field sales and/or channel partners.
Consult with Plant and Field Sales Engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including 5S requirements, and responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to the appropriate management or ESP/ELS representative as required.
Interface with the Design Engineering department when necessary for development of switchboard custom designs.
Proactively participate on cross functional teams in support of implementing lean manufacturing strategies, including front end business process improvement.
Take lead in preparation and presentation of training materials for front end and shop personnel to support continuous learning and increased proficiencies in technical applications of P&S products.
Provide On-the-Job training for new COE engineers and Senior COE engineers.
Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
Interface with Quality/Warranty Department to ensure continued post-shipment customer support.
Conduct special development/application projects.
Lead project team chartered with goal of improving productivity, reducing cycle time, and/or achieving major cost savings.
Complete all phases of the custom order engineering process to insure accurate and timely completion of Customer Approval (CA) and Manufacturing Information (MI) drawings.

Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience managing people or project teams
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
Proficient in PLC programming/troubleshooting (complete multi rung programs) and HMI interface.
Computer literacy – proficient in the use of Bid Manager, Plant Order Manager, Auto-Cad and other AS400 systems as they apply to MI generation and order processing.
Minimum of 1 year of PLC Programming
Understanding of established design standards and their application in Power distribution and control systems.
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of electrical engineering experience.
Achieve certification in Six Sigma, ELS, or other critical tool, in order to support enterprise-wide goals for continuous improvement in EBE, ELS, EQS, or ESP assessments.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to prepare training material and other supporting documentation.
