Manager – Service oversees service operations across multiple locations within a designated region. The role leads a team of Service Incharges, Service Engineers, and technicians, ensuring high customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and adherence to company standards. It also develops strategies to improve service delivery, optimize resources, and drive business growth.
The position is based in Gurgaon and is responsible for surface drills and tunneling drill sites across North India. Key performance areas include compliance with Sandvik Mining policies, especially EHS, and fostering a safety culture within the service team.
The manager coaches, motivates, trains, evaluates, and manages the service team to achieve business goals, tracks monthly productivity data, and drives continuous improvement. They develop direct customer relationships, support parts sales lead generation, and maintain monthly MIS for overall service operations. Resource management balances customer satisfaction with financial objectives, while ensuring site maintenance processes meet global standards to maximize equipment availability.
Responsibilities also cover conducting root cause analyses, planning maintenance activities, supporting inventory forecasting, and driving dealer service team skill development. Coordination with Product Masters for product development and service bulletins, as well as timely completion of timesheets and fleet app entries, are essential.
The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, 10–15 years of service experience with 3–4 years in a leadership role, and P&L management experience. Candidates should have strong contract knowledge, familiarity with local labour laws, exposure to maintenance planning systems, and excellent EHS expertise. Core competencies include customer focus, strategic mindset, service excellence, rapid execution, safety regulation knowledge, product knowledge, people development, communication skills, professionalism, leadership, and high‑level interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
