- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in traffic studies, signal design, intersection and corridor analysis, traffic modeling/simulation, and traffic control plan development.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Synchro, and SimTraffic.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with MUTCD, AASHTO, and DOT design requirements.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to collect field data and perform asset inspections.
- Ability to lift/move objects up to 40 lb and work in hot or cold weather for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 10‑Construction, OSHA 40‑HAZWOPER, OSHA Confined Space Entry).
- Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification.
- IMSA Traffic Inspection Certification.
- Proficiency with VISSIM.
