The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Key responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both light and commercial‑grade floor buffers and shampoo machines, as well as vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas. The role also involves dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, and light fixtures, cleaning interior glass, windowsills, doors, partitions, and performing spot cleaning and wall washing as needed.
Additional tasks cover maintaining clean and fully stocked bathrooms, monitoring fixtures for issues, collecting and disposing of building trash, replacing liners, and removing snow and ice from entrances and walkways. Periodic work such as high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing is also required.
No prior cleaning experience is required; the candidate must be able to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team. Ability to operate cleaning tools and equipment, attention to detail, high energy, and endurance are essential.
Compensation ranges from $17.60 to $17.90 CAD per hour, subject to factors such as location, collective bargaining status, and experience, with a guaranteed minimum wage.
