Tasks

-Perform vehicle checks to ensure compliance with DOT regulations -Load and unload equipment and materials -Coordinate scheduling of traffic control flaggers -Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify -Drive various vehicles -Follow all safety precautions to protect motorists and construction workers -Place signs, barricades and traffic cones -Move construction equipment

What You Bring

-Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card -All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English -Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner -Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations and no DUIs within a two year rolling period -Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late when necessary -Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling -High School diploma or equivalent -Work with a heightened awareness within the “red zone” of heavy equipment -Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check -Knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to commercial vehicles -Skill to operate equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities
