Industrial electrician maintaining electrical assets for Yorkshire Water.
You will pro-actively identify and report follow on work or areas for enhancement. You will conduct your own risk assessments and create appropriate method statements when required to safely carry out maintenance activities. The successful candidate will have the ability to specify parts and equipment required for procurement as part of day-to-day role. You will be required to supervise approved Contract Partners, providing risk assessments and method statements where permit to work is required for a given task. You will also be required to use a Toughbook to capture all work activity and job status in line with workflow processes. Assist in the development and training of apprentices as well as less experienced members of the team, identifying ways to improve the value and service delivered by the Maintenance Function within Bioresources. Installation & commission new plant and equipment to relevant standards is essential. Diagnosing and repairing faults on systems and plant. Our Industrial Electricians will be expected to manage and prioritise your own workload effectively and to build and maintain relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers, and contract partners. Adhering to the Health and Safety policy and standards actively identifying hazards, providing mitigation, and reporting onto the company hazard database to ensure the cause of the hazard is removed. As our Industrial Electrician you will be required to work unsupervised in remote geographic locations and be accountable for the completion of planned and reactive electrical tasks within agreed timescales, quality, and cost parameters. As an Industrial Electrician, you will undertake maintenance of Yorkshire Waters Electrical and Mechanical assets across Energy & Recycling sites. Mobile working as part of a Maintenance Team to deliver Planned & Reactive maintenance. Responding to emergency calls both in and out of hours (on call-out rota).
