Description

The Associate Buyer supports the Buyer with procurement-related tasks, including selecting product mixes, communicating with vendors, managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory, receiving items, following up on supplier payments, preparing budgets, and providing administrative support to the buying function. This role ensures the buying department operates efficiently and aligns with overall merchandise direction and financial objectives.

The associate also contributes to the company’s Dare Today, Change Tomorrow sustainability strategy and stays informed about buying trends and customer preferences to support the buying team effectively.

• Assist the Buyer in researching and selecting brands/products in line with overall merchandise direction and defined financial objectives.
• Compile sales reports, data, and feedback for upcoming buying trips at department/brand/category level, demonstrating insight on areas of opportunity and risk.
• Propose re-orders to the buyer, providing all information to relevant parties in planning and supply chain.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor agreements, trading terms, and delivery windows.
• Ensure the intake margin of delivered goods and pricing are as per agreed conditions.
• Verify order confirmations match initial orders and communicate any discrepancies to vendors.
• Stay aware of buying trends and customer preferences to support the Buying team effectively.

Requirements

• Graduate in Business, Fashion, or Marketing.
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Experience in the Home industry is required.
• English fluency.
