The on‑call (PRN) Medication Technician position is located at The Commons at Union Ranch in Manteca, CA, with a pay range of $19.00‑$20.00 per hour. The role involves documenting, delivering, and administering medications as prescribed, while adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Key responsibilities include assisting residents with daily medications, verifying ingestion, maintaining confidential medication records, coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, preparing medication orders, conducting narcotic counts, assisting caregivers with resident care activities, and responding promptly to alerts and emergencies.
- Execute signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
- Administer and document resident medications (40%)
- Verify medication ingestion and document (6%)
- Maintain confidential medication records (6%)
- Coordinate medication orders with pharmacy and physicians (5%)
- Prepare medication orders and refills up to 24 h in advance (5%)
- Conduct narcotic counts and report discrepancies (5%)
