Description

The on‑call (PRN) Medication Technician position is located at The Commons at Union Ranch in Manteca, CA, with a pay range of $19.00‑$20.00 per hour. The role involves documenting, delivering, and administering medications as prescribed, while adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities include assisting residents with daily medications, verifying ingestion, maintaining confidential medication records, coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, preparing medication orders, conducting narcotic counts, assisting caregivers with resident care activities, and responding promptly to alerts and emergencies.

• Execute signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
• Administer and document resident medications (40%)
• Verify medication ingestion and document (6%)
• Maintain confidential medication records (6%)
• Coordinate medication orders with pharmacy and physicians (5%)
• Prepare medication orders and refills up to 24 h in advance (5%)
• Conduct narcotic counts and report discrepancies (5%)
• Assist caregivers with resident daily living activities and safety (13%)
• Foster teamwork through open communication (100%)
• Respond promptly to resident needs with respect and confidentiality
• Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and toileting
• Support mealtime activities and tray delivery
• Transport residents safely using proper lifting techniques

• Encourage participation in daily chores and activities
• Clean and assist with community tasks as assigned
• Document incidents and changes in condition promptly
• Respond to alerts and emergencies via walkie‑talkie
• Assist during fire and safety drills
• Meet state regulatory and HIPAA compliance requirements

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be proficient in English, pass background and health screenings, comply with HIPAA and state regulations, and be physically able to lift 50 lb and push 40 lb unassisted.
