Troubleshoots and resolves commercial door and related hardware issues
Receives, tracks, monitors and reports status of maintenance work within applicable logs/service maintenance management database. Initiates documents to obtain formal approval of work required
Provides observations on conditions and deficiencies and suggestions for enhancements and repair
Responds to routine and on-demand service requests
Conducts regular inspection and preventative maintenance on commercial doors and related hardware
Complies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection
Performs work in accordance to established processes and practices
Ensures the manner in which work is performed is in compliant with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, and any other applicable requirements
Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required
Repairs, replaces and installs door hardware components
Records resolution data applicable logs/service maintenance management database. Ensures work completed meets quality and contract response, and all other requirements

Ability to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems relating to doors and door hardware components
3 to 5 years of commercial door maintenance and repair work experience
Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment
Possesses a strong environmental, health and safety mindset. Ability to perform work in a safe manner
Must be able to be on-call and be available to respond to emergencies
Strong client-service orientation with a high sense of urgency
Canadian Door Institute Certification, an asset
Strong troubleshooting and resolution skills in order to resolve commercial door issues
High school diploma plus trades training and certification, an asset
Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
