Preparation of geotechnical field investigation specifications and geotechnical interpretive reports
Review factual design reports, borehole logs and laboratory testing
Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
Developing engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditions
Prepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendations
Design and engineering for a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management.
Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
Oversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects
Attend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.
Geotechnical and site characterization;
Coordination and support with marine and structural team on projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (required)
Familiarity and experience on coastal and waterfront projects. (preferred)
Professional engineer licensure (preferred)
At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
Experience with engineering software such as AUTOCAD, Slope/W, SAP2000, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D) (preferred)
Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seismic;
Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
Familiarity with international geotechnical design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (preferred)
