Conducts extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in facility’s systems. Completes certifications as required by the company
Comply with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
Assists with parts research/procurement and maintaining parts inventory
Performs maintenance duties with a focus on fire alarm, voice evacuation panels, low voltage accessories, fire alarm panels, and Audio-Visual devices.
Performs routine inspections of building’s safety systems including but not limited to: fire alarm systems, voice evacuation, low voltage accessories, fire alarm panels, and Audio-Visual devices, and associated field devices.
Monitoring of Computerized Management Maintenance System (CMMS) for work orders and timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks and demand tasks
Interact with customers/tenants in a positive and cooperative manner
Performs routine maintenance and repairs of fire alarm components including fire alarm panels, voice evacuation panels, and associated field devices
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Will be required to respond to occasional emergencies outside of normal business hours.

Minimum of one year of experience working with fire alarms, electrical systems, or similar low voltage equipment. Applicants with solid mechanical or electrical skills who are willing to learn will also be considered.
Proficient use of hand and power tools/instruments including drills, saws, mutli-meter, etc
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot reported Fire Alarm issues and convey findings to additional technical resources when needed
Basic computer experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and CMMS
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
High school graduate or equivalent.
