HVAC End of Line Tester College Intern

Description

• Assist in building test setups and other projects.
• Complete job assignments to meet testing schedules.
• Perform activities such as wiring, operating recovery/vacuum machines and recharging refrigeration systems, adjusting charge on running refrigeration systems, brazing, and assembly as required.
• Maintain safe and productive work environment.
• Assist in testing units to verify they meet engineering specifications.
• Coordinate activities with employees and members of other departments to ensure high quality and timely delivery of unit.
• Verify units are built correctly to work order and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair defects in test units to complete testing.
• Coordinates area activities with testing Engineers and technicians. Responsible for completing a higher level of formal training as needed.

Requirements

• Up to 40 hours per week availability, not to exceed 480 hours total for the year.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires frequent visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
• The individual will have a minimum of 0-5 year industry experience or equivalent experience or education in a similar industry.
• An individual in this job must be enrolling in or have previously had Vocational/Technical Training or had HVAC experience to meet entry-level requirements.
• Lift up to 50 lbs., climbing, stooping, sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to work in fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to achieve department and company goals.
