Electrical Designer – Mid Level (Hybrid)

Description

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future.
• Experience: 5 years of relevant experience related to the job responsibilities described above.
• Familiarity with construction management.
• Education: two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience/coursework directly related to electrical design.
• Driver’s license: possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Software: proficiency with current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with power system modeling software such as SKM.
• Work environment: ability to work in industrial facilities, including locations with rough terrain, moving machinery, and other typical conditions. Candidates must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• 1–3 years of experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to the job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial organization.
• Technical knowledge: use AutoCAD and other CADD software to create detailed electrical drawings for power distribution systems and controls for new and existing industrial facilities.
• Experience with project management and client management.

• Hybrid: this position is based out of Barr's Salt Lake City, Utah, office. A hybrid work arrangement may be considered, allowing time split between the office and a home office.
• Compensation: anticipated range of $32.00–38.25/hour. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. This position is classified as non-exempt (hourly) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
