Senior Project Coordinator - Engagement

Description

• managing procurement, goods receipting, and financial transactions to support the participation of Māori in council engagement processes, and more generally where applicable to the engagement work programme that affects Māori values
• supporting strategy kaimahi in leading programmes or projects involving engagement
• providing input on refining engagement policy, standards and procedures that improves efficiency and effective business outcomes, particularly tailored for Māori engagement
• participation or organisation of hui, meetings, or workshops, either virtually or in person, including arrangement of meeting rooms, agenda, taking notes, equipment set-up and extending Manaakitanga to participants
• project management and effective coordination of engagement activities, including scheduling, planning, financial tracking of expenditure

Requirements

• ability to operate autonomously and gaining the cooperation of others, while achieving a high standard of time management
• strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to take accurate meeting or workshop notes
• programme / project management experience, including procurement and processes relating to financial expenditure
• a good understanding of te ao Māori, mana whenua and mataawaka relationships in Tāmaki Makaurau
• working knowledge of video conferencing skills including Teams
