The Program Facilitator conducts various programs in a group setting to inmates/residents assigned to residential and non-residential programs, interviewing and assessing prospective participants to determine individual and group needs, and implementing a wide range of programs.
The role includes planning, conducting, or facilitating workshops and group activities, using discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and audio/visual aids to supplement the curriculum, and supervising all program activity according to the standard curriculum.
The facilitator creates and maintains an environment conducive to learning and personal growth by establishing standards of behavior and participation, encouraging inmates/residents to uphold these standards.
Coordination of admissions, evaluations, program completion, and termination information with other staff and departments is required, along with maintaining confidentiality of inmates/residents and administrative files.
The facilitator evaluates progress of assigned inmates/residents and reviews status to verify program completion.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, sixty credit hours of college coursework (or equivalent experience substituting year‑for‑year), experience facilitating programs (preferred experience with custody and control of inmates/residents), a valid driver’s license, and a minimum age of 18.
