Safety Operations Specialist

As a SAFETY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, you'll play a critical role in strengthening our company's safety culture across multiple heavy civil and infrastructure projects. You'll be on the front line ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting proactive field assessments, and collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and owners to create safe, productive work environments.

• Maintain required OSHA, company, and project documentation with precision.
• Conduct comprehensive jobsite inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Champion and reinforce company safety policies, programs, and field procedures.
• Foster a visible, proactive safety presence in the field through direct interaction and mentorship.
• Lead and facilitate engaging safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action follow-ups.
• Support project leadership in developing project-specific safety plans and task hazard analyses.

Each candidate for this position will be given a pre-employment drug screening.

This position is ideal for a hands-on safety professional ready to grow within a company that values accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Must be self-motivated, organized, and willing to travel to project sites in NJ, NY, MD, and D.C.
• 2–4 years of safety experience in heavy civil construction (infrastructure, utility, or marine experience preferred).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Certification required; OSHA 510 or CHST credentials a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety standards, and best practices for field operations.

Pay: Starting at $85,000 +
