Experienced Studio Manager for Award-Winning Engineering & Design Practice

• Support recruitment from offer letters and references through to onboarding and inductions
• Oversee daily studio operations to ensure an efficient and well-organised environment
• Maintain HR systems and accurate employee records
• Coordinate visa applications and compliance
• Support leadership with office policies, systems, and company procedures
• Organise performance reviews, training, and professional development
• Manage and update HR policies, procedures, and the staff handbook

You’ll play a key part in fostering a positive and collaborative studio culture while ensuring smooth operations across people, projects, and processes.

• Manage Health & Safety compliance and company insurance
• Help cultivate a collaborative and positive studio culture
• Engage with business improvement initiatives and long-term planning
• Assist with monthly payroll in collaboration with Finance
• Conduct exit interviews and manage feedback
• Provide administrative and operational support where needed
• Support leadership with HR reporting and compliance

• Proven experience in an office or studio management role, ideally within a creative, engineering, or design-led environment

• Solid understanding of HR processes and UK employment law
• CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred
• Professional, approachable, and discreet when handling sensitive information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
