Residential Helper

Description

The Driver Helper rides on the vehicle and assists the driver in delivering prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services on a designated residential route. Responsibilities include safely loading waste, carrying bags and containers to the vehicle, directing the driver from the ground, and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, route, and work area.

• Ride on the vehicle to assist the driver on a designated residential route.
• Operate the packing mechanism, levers, and handles to load waste.
• Clean the packer blade, truck body, hopper, and related equipment after each trip.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Monitor waste for prohibited materials.
• Clean accidental waste spills in accordance with safety policies.
• Meet productivity standards to service customers efficiently.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
