Project Estimator Allen Commercial Door & Specialty Hardware

Description

• Analyze project requirements and identify scope gaps, conflicts, and assumptions
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and internal team members
• Review and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications
• Prepare accurate estimates for Division 8 (Doors, Frames & Hardware) and Division 10 (Specialties) scopes

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Comfort working independently and managing multiple bids at once
• Ask questions, think critically, and work confidently in the gray areas of construction documents
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Willingness to learn hardware terminology and systems
• Coachable, receptive to feedback, and eager to be part of a team
• Excellent attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to improve
• Experience in commercial construction estimating is preferred, especially in Divisions 8 and/or 10 —but we are absolutely open to a driven, coachable candidate who wants to grow
• Navigate hardware schedules and become fluent in hardware nomenclature (it is tricky—we get it)
