Developing detailed project schedules using standard coding and work breakdown structures;
Estimating activities duration;
Developing schedule development plans and basis of schedule;
Establishing critical path and total project duration;
Performing schedule control by analyzing critical path, planned value, earned value, schedule variance, schedule performance indices and schedule risk analysis, and recommending corrective actions
Sequencing work packages/activities and developing network models;
Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
Preparing Level 1, 2 and 3 project schedules by summarizing the detailed work schedules
Participate in the change management process with raising schedule deviations and schedule impacts to project changes
Updating project schedules to reflect progress against project baseline and preparing management reports;

In Depth understanding of the EPCM industry and practices;
Ability to receive information from numerous sources, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Must possess sound judgement; strong analytical and interpersonal skills, well developed organizational and administration skills, verbal and written communication skills;
Fully familiar with resource allocation and levelling techniques as well as earned value analysis;
Ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives;
Hands on experience in planning and preparing logic diagrams, critical path networks and bar charts, with particular emphasis on detailed construction schedules;
Understanding project scope and identifying tasks/activities;
Ability to develop, coach and mentor a team of intermediate and junior planners.
Tact and diplomacy required when providing assistance and support regarding the preparation and analysis of project schedules;
Comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures involved in the planning function, with a minimum of 15 years proven experience in the execution of complex projects in the metals sector; steel industry experience is preferred
In depth experience with computer based scheduling systems (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and other computerized applications related to the work is essential;
