Description

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end load lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Commercial Drivers provide pick‑up service for containers that can exceed 1,000 pounds, navigating high‑traffic roadways, driveways, alleys, and lots, and performing skilled backing maneuvers. Residential Drivers collect household waste, while Roll‑off Drivers prepare, load, and haul large open‑top or compactor containers, often working in tight overhead environments on industrial routes.

• Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments to transport waste or recyclables.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports.
• Follow WM safety, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Communicate customer requests and ensure clean, debris‑free dump sites.
• Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist fellow drivers as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a valid CDL Class A or B with air‑brake endorsement (or 1 year equivalent military driving experience).
• Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
