Shift Engineer

Description

The Shift Engineer role focuses on creating a safer and more comfortable work environment through comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance of electro‑mechanical systems. You will manage critical utility equipment, respond to operational and emergency situations, and ensure compliance with safety and risk standards.

In this position you will develop standard operating procedures, conduct regular facility inspections, and support on‑site teams with training and equipment upkeep. You will also maintain accurate documentation, including log books, PPM reports and MIS dashboards, while coordinating with vendors to resolve service issues.

• Ensure safety by planning and executing preventive and predictive maintenance of electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and ensure site compliance with EHS/HSSE guidelines.
• Perform scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance and manage risk and safety work practices.
• Conduct regular inspections of energy use, maintenance practices, and utility systems.
• Provide training to on‑site teams and support service delivery on equipment upkeep.
• Maintain accurate logs, PPM reports, checklists, and MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Coordinate with vendors to review services and resolve service issues.
• Monitor ad‑hoc jobs, minor projects, and ensure building compliance records are up to date.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical engineering (or a diploma with equivalent experience) and have at least three years of building facility management experience, preferably within the IT/ITes sector. Strong teamwork, the ability to work mobile across sites, and optional qualifications in facilities or business management are also valued.

• Hold BE/B.Tech (Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical) with ≥3 years experience in building facility management, preferably IT/ITes.
• Possess core facilities management skills and ability to work mobile across sites.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork abilities and capacity to lead or contribute effectively.
• Desirable tertiary qualifications in facilities management, building management, or business.
• Based on‑site in Noida, UP with a 48‑hour weekly schedule.
