As part of the HRBP Operations team you will manage a dynamic portfolio, partnering with professional and operational stakeholders across the Perth metro area and regional locations. You’ll work closely with HR, Safety & Health and other key groups to provide practical, risk‑informed HR advice that enables leaders to achieve positive outcomes. The role is hands‑on and interactive, based at the South Metro Depot with flexibility to work from the Perth Head Office, from home, and occasional travel to regional sites.
In this role you will lead, coach and develop leaders to embed best‑practice leadership, provide HR advice aligned with legislation, enterprise agreements and internal policies, and partner with senior leaders to build people‑management capability. You will collaborate across the People Experience function to deliver key HR initiatives, build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and champion continuous improvement in HR service delivery and partnering effectiveness.
The ideal candidate holds tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations or a related discipline and has strong generalist HR experience, including employee relations and program implementation. Experience in operational or professional workforce settings is required, with exposure to industrial tribunals valued. You must demonstrate the ability to provide practical HR solutions in complex environments, possess strong analytical, organisational and business acumen, and have excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, together with advanced prioritisation, attention to detail and risk assessment capabilities.
