Lead design, fabrication, and management of nuclear fuel for reactors, ensuring safety & compliance.
Evaluate long -term fuel strategies including LEU, HALEU, or advanced fuel types (as applicable).
Effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Staying engaged in the design and development of new nuclear fuel products or modifications to existing ones, ensuring they meet performance requirements and regulatory standards.
Planning, organizing, and executing projects related to nuclear fuel, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Overseeing the fabrication process of nuclear fuel, ensuring it is carried out according to specifications and quality standards.
Ensure all activities related to nuclear fuel adhere to relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures.
Provide technical guidance and expertise on nuclear fuel-related issues, including design, performance, and safety.

Working knowledge of nuclear reactor core licensing, technical specifications, safety margin bases, code methodology licensing, and related federal regulations preferred.
Strong knowledge of nuclear fuel design, fabrication, handling, and safety principles.
Experience performing technical evaluations and providing technical support in the areas of nuclear fuel bundle and core design, reload licensing, cycle management, and core monitoring databanks is a plus.
PE License or advanced degree is preferred
Experience working with fuel vendors (e.g., Westinghouse, Framatome, GEH, etc.) or enrichment suppliers (e.g., Centrus, Urenco).
Understanding of relevant nuclear regulations and safety standards.
7+ years of experience in nuclear fuel management, core design, or nuclear engineering.
A bachelor's or advanced degree in nuclear engineering or a related field. (Master’s preferred)
