Must have a NYS Class A CDL
Must have at least five to ten years' experience as a Gas Mechanic working for a pipeline and/or Utility Contractor or equivalent with a thorough knowledge of Industry standard practices applicable to this type of work in the assigned area; as determined by management
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Must complete a comprehensive interview and competency exam demonstrating basic knowledge of Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety procedures used in the Federally regulated pipeline industry.
Must pass a Physical Abilities Test, Respirator Fit Test
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of various excavating equipment required (e.g. Backhoe Operation, Track excavator, Loader, Trenchers, Skid Steer equipment, etc.).
Experience and knowledge of Horizontal Directional Drilling equipment is desirable.
Associates degree in a related field is preferred
