Under general supervision, the role involves preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVAC mechanical equipment. The incumbent will coach and mentor technicians, provide Level 1 technical support, ensure compliance with provincial, local and federal regulations, uphold high ethical standards on site, and complete all required project documentation.
Key responsibilities include leading safety initiatives and training subcontractors, servicing diverse mechanical systems, participating in service call rounds, acting as a technical escalation point, troubleshooting complex system issues, liaising with the Quebec technical resources team, preparing estimates and material requisitions, scheduling skilled resources, communicating with clients before and after service visits, and maintaining high customer satisfaction through expert consultation and follow‑up.
Candidates must have prior technical leadership experience, the ability to work autonomously and coordinate other employees and contractors, excellent interpersonal skills for representing the company with clients, and the capacity to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences. The position offers an hourly rate of $48.37, with benefits administered by the relevant union, and may use AI tools in the recruitment process while final hiring decisions remain human‑driven.
