This Lead Project Scheduler position for capital projects offers a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves applying technical expertise to develop and maintain detailed schedules for electric capital infrastructure, collaborating directly with project management, clients, engineering, construction, and other stakeholders. Primavera P6 and other proprietary tools are used to support schedule creation and performance monitoring.
The scheduler will implement project‑control methodologies, develop schedule requirements aligned with client procedures, and conduct critical‑path analysis to identify corrective actions. They will oversee schedule contingencies, manage risks, and provide regular updates while proactively addressing variances. Additional duties include producing look‑ahead and quality reports, assembling documentation, analyzing data for decision support, and coordinating with cost analysts and project managers, with occasional travel to client sites.
Candidates must have at least ten years of project experience, a post‑secondary degree, and demonstrated proficiency with Primavera P6 and project‑controls principles. Strong communication skills, motivation to learn, and advanced expertise in MS Excel or Access for building interactive spreadsheets are required. Preferred experience includes engineering internships within the power sector and professional certifications such as AACE CST or PMI equivalents.
