  • Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $500K - $25 million
  • Develop project schedules and identify long-lead items and critical path activities
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope of work to ensure complete and accurate estimates
  • Lead the preparation of comprehensive bid packages and proposals
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to solicit and analyze competitive pricing
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work for all trades and ensure complete coverage
  • Track historical cost data and maintain cost databases to improve estimating accuracy
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar estimating software
  • Identify project risks during the preconstruction phase
  • Prepare conceptual estimates, design development estimates, and guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposals

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and establish a relationship built on trust with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
  • Project experience should include projects of values greater than $10 million. Conceptual to construction documents.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the construction disciplines, including but not limited to: concrete, masonry, steel, wood frame, MEP systems, and interior/exterior finishes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of all phases of design and construction.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in various construction types and systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiating skills.
  • Experience with computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, take-off software (On-Screen Takeoff or similar), BIM tools, (Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, or similar), project management software (CMiC, Vista, ProjectSight, Procore, or similar), and scheduling software (MS Project, Astra, or similar).
  • Highly organized, efficient, detail oriented and accurate.
