Audit of design packages and construction jobs to ensure adherence of Project Engineering standards.
Review and perform quality assurance for design deliverables (internal and external design).
Regularly communicate and coordinate project activities with internal team members and begin to build relationships with clients - with some help and guidance from your supervisor.
Apply client’s standards, guidelines, specifications, practices and procedures or appropriate industry standards in preparing design drawings as well as coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with all specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Ensure the integration of safety, reliability, operability, constructability, and configuration management practices into final products/designs/processes.
Ensuring accuracy in technical calculations, drawings, and documentation.
Lead and execute designs for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems (4-69kV) by preparing field notes, drawings, specifications, and calculations for review and approval by a Senior Engineer as well as safely perform field walk downs to document existing conditions and generate material and labor specifications.

Familiarity with IEEE, NEC, NESC, NERC, and local utility standards.
Strong understanding of power systems, load flow, fault analysis, grounding, and protection.
Understanding of distributed energy resources (DERs), energy storage, and grid modernization.
Ability to apply engineering principles to both routine projects and complex, evolving energy systems.
Staying current with emerging technologies, renewable integration, and regulatory changes.
Clear written and verbal communication for reports, presentations, and stakeholder collaboration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GIS-based design tools.
Knowledge of overhead and underground distribution design, equipment sizing, and layout.
Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Experience with software such as CYME, ETAP, or Milsoft for distribution system studies.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, contractors, and utility partners.
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited institution in electrical engineering
Knowledge of GIS, Microsoft Office, Google Earth, AutoCAD, TED, Pole Loading Analysis software is a plus
Knowledge of system protection, reliability engineering, and compliance with safety protocols.
Ability to diagnose system issues and develop effective solutions.
