Collaborating within the General Accounting and finance departments as well as with cross functional team members, such as in brand operations, marketing, etc. to support the achievement of overall department goals and objectives
Reviewing and approving monthly brand operating P&Ls, ensuring adequate commentary to address fluctuations in trend and variance to budget
Managing the monthly closing activities for assigned brands, entities, and line items, in compliance with the closing checklist and internal control procedures
Monitoring and analyzing the work of direct reports to develop and implement more efficient procedures, technology utilization and automation, and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for assigned brands/entities
Ensuring related balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled and are fully supported
Maintaining and demonstrating a thorough understanding of general accounting systems, procedures, and GAAP

Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in corporate accounting and/or auditing/assurance is required
Public company/SOX experience strongly is preferred
An active CPA license is preferred
Ability to effectively communicate with staff and follow up to ensure the department and company goals/assignments are completed accurately and timely
Large, automated, integrated accounting system proficiency. MS Dynamics 365 is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
Ability to effectively lead, train, assess, coach, and motivate staff
Proven leadership and collaborative cross-functional teamwork skills
Continuous improvement mindset: willingness to continue to learn, apply learnings and ability to operationalize improvements through others
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role is required
