What You’ll Do: You’ll keep automation projects moving by supporting data‑center startups, performing on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, leading startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems, partnering with engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems, and providing clear communication and updates to customers and project teams. Typical travel rotations follow a days‑on/off schedule (5 on‑2 off, 10 on‑4 off, or 14 on‑7 off), and you’ll work with various customers gaining real‑world experience while the ProAutomated team backs you.
For those who’d rather be on the move than behind a desk. We’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline now for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that actually knows your name. If you’re the kind of person who can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and find satisfaction in solving complex problems, this might be your perfect fit.
We believe in transparency. Our four‑week paid training is designed to prepare technically skilled individuals for the field. Success in training requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, so candidates without that background may not be the right fit.
What We’re Looking For: A genuine love of travel and willingness to be away from home on rotation (logistics handled), a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, adaptability, grit, strong communication and problem‑solving skills, residence within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available), a personal vehicle within 45 days of employment, U.S. work authorization, and a technical degree or equivalent 3+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk long distances across large facilities, climb ladders or work at heights, lift up to 50 lb, stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods, and work in varied environments such as construction sites, outdoors, and hot or cold conditions; reasonable accommodations are provided as needed.
Work + Travel, Combined: You’ll experience new cities, tackle unique projects, and earn travel rewards while working directly with customers across North America, with no office to report to and time away from home.
Fair Pay That Grows With You: Starting salary is $60,000–$75,000 depending on location, education, and experience, plus per‑diem, mileage reimbursement, utilization and weekend bonuses, and a culture of endless trust, teamwork, and personal recognition.
Room to Grow: We invest in your development through paid training, annual merit raises, and a 5 % salary increase after six months, supporting you to learn, advance, and build a multi‑directional career, even if you eventually leave ProAutomated.
Real Benefits + Real Flexibility: Health, dental, and life insurance, a matching 401(k), short‑ and long‑term disability, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months ensure we take care of you on and off the job.
A Team That Gives You Community: As a smaller, people‑first company, we value teamwork, adaptability, and humor; our leaders have risen through the same roles you’ll fill, so you’ll always have a manager who understands the work and a supportive crew.
Ready for a Career That Takes You Places? If you want a challenging, travel‑filled career where your effort matters, we’d love to meet you. ProAutomated is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and respectful treatment of all team members.
