The role focuses on identifying market trends, evaluating competitive landscapes, and crafting strategies to improve market positioning. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of renewable energy, especially utility‑scale solar, and a proven record in strategic planning, M&A, and market research.
In this position, the manager partners with product, sales, and senior leadership to align business strategies, pursue partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities, and explore new markets and product innovations. They conduct comprehensive market research, analyze data, track industry developments and regulatory changes, and monitor competitor activity to generate actionable insights. The manager also prepares and presents reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management while leading a team of analysts and fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. At least four years of experience in strategy, investment banking, market research, or business development within renewable energy is required, along with expertise in financial modeling and solar project finance. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
