Description

• Materials Coordination: Coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies to project sites.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and communicate any delays, discrepancies, or issues in the supply chain, working to resolve them promptly.
• Site Cleanup: Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Logistics Management: Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery logistics to ensure materials arrive at project sites on schedule.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and related documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• Assistance to Contractors: Provide support to skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, masons, and electricians, by assisting with their tasks.
• Tracking: Monitor and track the status of orders, ensuring that materials are sourced, shipped, and delivered according to project timelines.
• Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities such as clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow established safety guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize the procurement process, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Contractor Relations: Maintain communication with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to coordinate orders and deliveries.

Requirements

• Construction Project Lifecycle: Familiarity with different phases of construction projects and how material procurement and delivery align with project timelines.
• Office Software: Proficiency in basic computer applications, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
• Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and other workers on the construction site.
• Material Handling: Understanding of how to safely handle and transport construction materials, including loading and unloading procedures.
