Description

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate, and manage the development and implementation of maintenance and technical training programs for the Clean Energy Center, supporting mechanical, electrical, instrument maintenance, supervision, radiation protection, chemistry, and engineering support personnel.

• Direct and supervise planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Clean Energy Center training programs.
• Manage post‑training assessments to measure impact on personnel and center performance, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Support CEC and fleet initiatives, including business‑plan projects, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness, and special projects.
• Anticipate long‑range security training needs and develop strategies to address them.
• Ensure training facilities, equipment, materials, records, and personnel qualifications align with program goals.
• Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits, responding to findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate assignment of training activities among CEC management, external agencies, contractors, and the training department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, such as emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage support outside the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, education, or training plus 8 years experience (including 4 years power‑plant, 2 years nuclear‑plant, and 1 year supervisory/managerial) meeting ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 standards.
• Current or prior SRO license with the same 8‑year experience requirements as above.
• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline with 10 years experience (including 4 years power‑plant, 2 years nuclear‑plant, and 1 year supervisory/managerial) meeting ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 standards.
• Ability to maintain required access level and pass a favorable medical examination per position duties.
• Master’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience implementing training programs and instructional design.
• Proven leadership of multi‑organization teams on diverse tasks.
• Experience with INPO accreditation, benchmarking, or peer‑assessment teams.
• Knowledge of and experience applying the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
