Ensure that all debt compliance deadlines are met, including bank reporting requirements as well as payment requirements.
Manage Property Accountants and Senior Property Accountants including, but not limited to, performance reviews, workload distributions, hiring, training, and cross training of staff.
Ensure that accounting practices are in accordance with GAAP.
Review GAAP financial statements, budgets, analysis, and supporting work papers prepared by Property Accountants. Develop and maintain high quality standards for the team.
Provide backup support for Property Accountants as needed. Fulfill primary accounting responsibilities as required due to leaves of absence, vacations, heavy workloads and deadlines, other transition times, etc.
Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes and reporting are accurate and completed within scheduled dates.
Support the department on special projects and Senior Management requests.
Lead presentations to Senior Management on operating results.
Provide support to the Corporate Accounting and Property Management teams.
Participate in training programs, including leading select events.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA preferred.

Proven technical accounting aptitude and skills are required.
4+ years of combined (public or private) accounting experience, preferably within the Residential or Commercial Real Estate Industry.
Strong proficiency with Excel and other Windows applications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Property Management/Accounting software (Yardi), preferred.
