Reports to the General Counsel Americas and collaborates closely with senior leadership, regional generalist attorneys, CoE teams, MPP/strategic teams, and crossfunctional teams to manage legal risk, support business objectives, and build legal capability across the Americas.
As Legal lead, advise Major Projects capture teams on contractual and other legal risks and issues and by drafting, reviewing and negotiating the relevant contract.
Reviews and negotiates complex customer contracts within the Americas region.
As Legal lead, advise Major Projects in the execution stage by providing legal advice regarding change management, commercial issues and potential claims and disputes with the customer and third parties.
Leads a team of direct reports (regularly hosts meetings, sets team goals, etc.) consisting of individual contributors, with the objective of expediting their upskilling and training as Worley lawyers so that they can handle broader and more complex contract and legal matters. Responsible for the management, mentorship, training and professional development of their direct reports.
Handles and resolves complex matters in collaboration with the relevant CoE teams.
Trains, coaches and mentors more junior attorneys in the Americas region, or within the wider company, in matters of their specific knowledge and/or experience.
Participates in the Major Projects Working Group, and potentially the Construction & EPC Working Group, in collaboration with the relevant GC’s.
