Work closely with Form’s software development team to define and develop digital tools to interfacing with battery equipment
Support and lead cross-functional efforts to determine the root cause of field failures and to drive permanent resolution of these issues with Manufacturing and Engineering teams
Work closely with Form’s Product Engineering and Product Management teams to develop a deep technical understanding of the product and its application
Perform remote and on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment using custom software, SQL, data acquisition and energy management software
Develop and operationalize the commissioning process for Form’s fielded battery systems
Travel to client or project sites 50-80% of the time
Design and build custom electromechanical tooling required to troubleshoot and repair fielded battery systems
Execute commissioning and field service tasks on internal test beds and at commercial customer project sites

Familiarity with distributed, industrial-grade control systems that use microcontrollers and CAN bus communications or equivalent

7+ years of experience in renewable energy system commissioning or service engineering roles
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience with troubleshooting electrical/electronic and mechanical systems, such as HVDC power converters, HVAC systems, and/or fluid delivery systems
Proven cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
Strong understanding of SCADA communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3, networking design and operation, power plant control systems, battery management systems, and utility relay and metering equipment
