Ensure compliance with Hatfield’s Health and Safety Management Plan, the law, and client health and safety protocols.
Support research and analytical tasks including data collection, compilation, analysis, statistical and deterministic modeling.
Support ongoing data management (e.g., review of near-real-time telemetry, continuous and periodic water level, and lab data) and reporting to clients and regulatory agencies (e.g., draft technical report sections and data summaries).
Implement and participate in field programs required for hydrogeologic monitoring.
Support and participate in groundwater modelling projects led by our numerical modelling team.

Ability and interest to undertake extensive fieldwork, in a range of weather conditions, including working in remote locations and on programs that may require camp stays.
Relevant hydrogeological work experience is an asset.
Comfortable using technology and a desire to learn how to operate a variety of environmental monitoring systems such as dataloggers and software packages.
Strong geology background and in particular familiarity with bedrock geology of British Columbia and Alberta.
Experience with complex (deep) groundwater monitoring installations in mine settings.
A valid Canadian driver’s license for the past three years, experience driving a pickup truck and the ability to meet the requirements for our third party automobile insurance policy.
M.Sc. or higher in sciences or engineering with hydrogeology experience.
Communicate technical information efficiently and effectively (verbal and written).
Eligible for registration with EGBC as a geoscientist or engineer in training.
Experience with data handling and analysis. In particular, a background in Aquarius, R statistics, Python, GIS.
Ability to work as part of a team with varying levels of experience and maintain a positive attitude.
Fluent verbal communication and ability to write concisely.
Ability to develop robust, scientifically defensible and practical conceptual hydrogeological models.
Attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of adherence to numerical modelling standards.
Experience and interest in field work. Field work in remote locations may be required.
Demonstrated experience with, or interest in, groundwater modelling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW, Groundwater Vistas) or related tools.
Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment that requires flexibility and the willingness to work overtime in support of field programs.
