

Designs and manufactures specialty purpose‑built vehicles and equipment for defense, fire, access, refuse and aviation.
The Electrician is responsible for installing and connecting electrical wiring systems on heavy trucks and ensuring those systems operate correctly for each unit.
Key duties include installing rough electric conductors and boxes according to blueprints, pulling wires and harnesses through the chassis or body, mounting standard and optional equipment with the necessary wiring, conducting functional tests, correcting identified problems, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, demonstrating effective interpersonal communication, and maintaining regular attendance.
Minimum qualifications consist of six months or more of related experience. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a technical degree or certificate in automotive technology, diesel, electromechanical, or a related field, experience in truck electrical repair and diagnostics, proficiency with small and pneumatic hand tools, knowledge of AC/DC electricity, and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, shop orders, and computer‑based inventory systems.
Physical requirements demand the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including close, peripheral, color, and depth vision, hearing, balance, and finger dexterity. The role requires standing for extended periods, twisting, turning, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting at least 35 lb, and wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel‑toe shoes, safety glasses, and a safety vest.
