  • Provides professional customer support for system-related software issues, needs, or requirements; interacts with clients to analyze system requirements; recommends technological solutions to improve operations

  • In accordance with Government Code Section 3100, all employees are required to perform assigned disaster service worker duties in the event of an emergency or a disaster
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports and diagrams
  • Maintains effective relationships with vendors and their technical support personnel
  • Organize and prioritize projects and tasks
  • Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of latest trends and innovations in technology field
  • Designs, develops, tests, documents and maintains various databases and websites
  • Analyze, identify and resolve systems and applications malfunctions; analyze, troubleshoot and remediate systems and application errors
  • Cross trains with other Analysts to provide back-up coverage during absences
  • Read, interpret and apply complex technical publications, manuals and related documents

  • 4+ years’ experience managing, administrating, and/or upgrading enterprise Information Technology systems
  • Employees regularly assigned/required to drive a city or personal vehicle in the course and scope of work shall be required to participate in the DMV Employer Pull Notice program
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing information systems
  • A valid class C California driver license with an acceptable driving record required at time of appointment and throughout employment.
  • Complex software tools, test equipment and measurement techniques
