Residential Surveyor

This role involves undertaking a range of residential surveys and providing expert consultancy services to clients.

• Leadership: supports and shares knowledge with colleagues, fostering a collaborative culture.

• Stay informed of changes to legislation, industry standards, and market trends, applying this knowledge to enhance client advice and service delivery.
• Produce high-quality, compliant reports and valuations independently, and act as a point of escalation on more complex or sensitive cases.
• Manage and prioritise your own workload efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional client service.
• Cultivate and grow strong relationships with existing and new clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador for the business.
• Contribute to the development of new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and identifying client needs.
• Undertake a range of residential surveys, including RICS Level 2 Homebuyer Reports, RICS Level 3 Building Surveys and Red Book Valuations with a consistently high standard of accuracy and professional judgement.
• Provide expert advice and tailored consultancy services to clients across both the public and private sectors.

Location: Home based but travel around South-East London, Kent and London

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Residential Surveyor to join this growing team. This is a key role for an experienced professional with a strong track record in the UK residential property market who is looking to take ownership of a varied and high-quality portfolio of work. You will conduct a full range of residential surveys and valuations, deliver expert consultancy advice, and play an active role in strengthening client relationships and supporting the strategic growth of our surveying practice. • RICS Qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Full UK driving licence (this is an essential car user position).
• Commercially astute: understands client drivers and market context, delivering strategic value.
• Trusted advisor: exercises sound professional judgment and builds confidence with clients.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the UK residential property market.
• MRICS qualified (or working towards final assessment with substantial experience).
• Excellence-focused: consistently delivers high-quality, compliant, and insightful work.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and professional integrity.
• Confident using valuation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrable expertise in valuations, Homebuyer Reports, and Building Surveys.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercially valuable advice.
• Self-starter: proactive and able to manage a varied and complex workload with minimal supervision.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary - £45,000 - £60,000 plus car allowance, pension and bonus
