Key duties include preparing material for assembly lines, comparing shipment documentation, unpacking and routing deliveries, reporting defective materials, and posting data into the ERP system. The clerk also moves material using RF scanners, performs cycle counts, and ensures safety and environmental procedures are followed.
- Prepare and supply material to assembly lines per company requirements
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipment data against bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices
- Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments; report defective materials
- Post shipment information into the ERP system
- Move material between storage locations and loading docks using RF scanning equipment
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and trigger material replenishment
- Align components for assembly using appropriate equipment
- Follow ERP, quality, safety, and environmental procedures
- Promote compliance with the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct
- Operate forklift, overhead crane, and other material‑handling equipment
- Participate in 401(k) plan with company match

The candidate must be able to operate a forklift and other material‑handling equipment and possess a valid power‑vehicle license when required. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of shipping and receiving experience are required. Preferred qualifications include strong interpersonal skills, basic computer and RF‑scanner proficiency, and the ability to multitask in time‑sensitive processes.
- Obtain appropriate power‑vehicle license (CDL, flatbed, Hi‑Lo, tugger & Mule) when needed
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills
- Exhibit basic reading, writing, math, and PC knowledge; efficiently use computer terminals and RF scanners
- Multitask effectively in time‑sensitive processes
