The Inventory/Production Clerk ensures inventory accuracy across manufacturing facilities and handles production entry for the Buford plant and satellite locations as needed. Responsibilities include entering purchase orders for consumables, communicating inventory issues, and collaborating with production management, freight, purchasing, and CSR teams. The role also manages purchasing of outsourced items, oversees all consumable items, and may require flexible 40+ hour work weeks, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
Key duties involve maintaining accurate inventory and consumable purchasing schedules, setting pricing margins on non‑standard items, and coordinating bill‑of‑materials inventory with the production schedule. The clerk reviews over‑allocation reports, seeks improvements in inventory accuracy and production efficiency, implements control transactions, and reconciles discrepancies. Additional tasks include negotiating vendor pricing, monitoring in‑transit interplant transactions, and processing invoices for outsourced items while upholding ADS core values.
The position requires knowledge of inventory and supply chain management principles, strong communication across organizational levels, and proficiency with Oracle procedures, reports, and Microsoft Office. Candidates must demonstrate problem‑solving, decision‑making, production and inventory scheduling, capacity planning, and vendor negotiation skills, supported by solid mathematical and interpersonal abilities.
A recent college degree in Business Management is preferred, with a bachelor’s degree being ideal; currently enrolled students are also considered. Relevant experience includes inventory control, production scheduling, and data entry.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 100 lb, work in extreme temperature variations for extended periods, and sit or stand for long durations. The role demands full range of body movement—lifting, twisting, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing—as well as the ability to mount and dismount industrial equipment and a willingness to travel.
ADS offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits such as medical, prescription, telemedicine, HDHP/HSA, dental, vision, virtual physical therapy, and an employee assistance program, along with voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnification plans.
