Lead the development and execution of a construction & facilities program, aligned with organizational goals, while building and managing a high-performing, agile team
Maintain full compliance with OSHA, ADA, NFPA, environmental, and local building codes, obtaining all necessary and proper permits or other documentation (Certificates of Occupancy)
Negotiate/manage vendor contracts to ensure cost control and quality service delivery.
Manage project risk proactively and actively and regularly communicate progress with all key stakeholders (real estate, field and branch leadership, and third-party vendors).
Manage site assessments, project scoping, due diligence, and pre-construction meetings. Quickly prepare and turnaround scope, budgetary guidance, and timeline estimate in support of Real Estate negotiations and approvals.
Directly manage a team of construction managers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
Manage construction project timelines, critical dates, and budgets as well as all associated communication and reporting.
Review pay applications, sworn statements and lien waivers for compliance and accuracy.
Manage pre-qualification of site feasibility for zoning and usage requirements.
Ensure team accountability against milestone tracking reports and project timelines.
Oversee construction projects and capital planning, balancing internal resources and external partnerships to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery

Ability to read and understand construction contracts, specifications, surveys, blueprints and other construction related drawings
Minimum of 3 years’ experience and demonstrated ability in running a national construction program and negotiating/managing critical vendor partnerships at scale.
Travel – Approximately 50%
Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and consultants
Experience managing construction projects and trades/vendors in Canada a plus
Experience and proficiency implementing and leveraging construction management software
Proficiency in understanding zoning, construction schedules, building (IBC) and fire suppression code (NFPA), OSHA, ADA, and tenant improvement buildout scopes.
Minimum 7-10+ years of directly related experience in a construction manager role with industrial and light industrial warehouses
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, manage timelines, and control project budgets
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field
Proficiency in navigating and building trust with AHJs
