Performing High, Medium, and Low voltage testing of electrical power equipment.
Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed. Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components in a substation.
Inspect, test, and maintain electrical substations and transmission switchyards.
Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel in order to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning.
Work with electrical equipment, such as SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers, pad mount transformers/GSU transformers, grounding, instrument transformers, and variance of switches both manual and motor operated.

Have experience in each of the following skills:
Switchgear and PT’s
MV hot work; and Fall protection usage
Cable testing 600v – 35kv
Qualification and 4 years of experience as a NETA Technician, OEM Electrical Equipment Technician, Lineman, or Electrician.
Transformer testing 480v – 500kv+
Requires an Associate’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Technology and 2 years of experience as a NETA Technician, OEM Electrical Equipment Technician, Lineman, or Electrician OR a Powerline Technician Certificate of
