The Store Designer supports the store development process for multiple brands by delivering thoughtful design solutions and high‑quality fixture plans that adhere to organizational design, drafting, and CAD standards. This role reports to the Planning Resource Lead and Format Spec II.
Key responsibilities include developing design solutions using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft programs, preparing and distributing fixture plans for partner review, managing timelines to ensure project completion, and supporting business partners with space and planning analysis. The designer also tracks changes, issues revisions promptly, updates project libraries, and contributes to the creation of drawing, equipment, fixture, and standards libraries.
The designer applies brand and design standards to create plans that meet scope and project parameters, while collaborating with internal teams such as Store Planning, Construction, Décor & Signage, Equipment Purchasing, and external architectural and engineering consultants. Completed plans are presented to project and leadership teams.
Candidates should hold a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Architectural Technology, with 3‑5 years of related experience preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, advanced Excel, and Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with Adobe, Bluebeam, Sketch‑Up, Smartsheet, and the CSSP certification is ideal. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.
Additional skills include strong attention to detail, effective communication, active listening, critical thinking, and robust organizational and time‑management abilities. The role demands the capacity to lead presentations, train new planners, adapt to change, solve problems, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
