What you would be doing

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of how we report, analyse, and communicate performance across our Connections business. From regulatory submissions to weekly operational insights, your work will ensure our data is accurate, timely, and drives informed decision-making.

  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on reporting obligations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems
  • Build, publish, and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI and Oracle CRM across all directorates in the Connections business
  • Provide guidance and support to other reporting team members
  • Validate and prepare accurate data for annual and ad hoc regulatory returns to Ofgem
  • Interpret regulatory guidance and ensure internal processes align with compliance requirements
  • Respond to internal and external data requests, including those from Ofgem
  • Support the provision of timely data for weekly submission for our general enquiries, minor connections and major connections surveys
  • Maintain documentation and evidence to support submissions and compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate data for submissions

  • Experience in developing and maintaining reporting information using applications like PowerBi and Oracle CRM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for preparing formal submissions and engaging with regulators.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data validation and reporting
  • Experience with regulatory submissions, including annual and ad hoc reporting
  • Degree level education in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Engineering, Data Analytics or Business
  • Skilled in using Power BI and other reporting platforms to deliver insights
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent in a relevant field such as mathematics, data analytics or business
  • Familiarity with UK energy regulations
  • Project management experience and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience supporting operational activities, price control reviews, and business planning
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting streams and deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support colleagues
