Undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution OR 5+ years of direct field experience working on bridges
Familiarity working with database software is an asset
Strong organizational skills, including project and quality assurance documentation/filing, maintaining schedules, and managing project budgets
Committed team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction when required
Detail oriented in reviewing and administering construction contract documents
Ability to be on site during construction
Proficient in MS Excel and Word
Strong understanding of how bridges function, including structural behavior and constructability considerations
Strong communication skills to maintain and build relationships with the Ministry of Transportation staff and contractors, including facilitating meetings and report writing
Familiarity with WorkSafe BC processes and documentation, and an understanding of the Ministry of Transportations site's health and safety policies and specification is an asset
